The high-profile custody battle between Nigerian music superstar, Davido and his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, has taken a dangerous turn, with accusations of cyberbullying and death threats now extending to legal counsel.
A woman claiming to be the sister of Sophia Momodu’s lawyer, Ebelechukwu Egeonu Enedah, has publicly accused Davido of inciting his massive fanbase to harass her sibling following a contentious court hearing last week.
In a viral video circulating on social media on Tuesday, the woman directly addressed the singer, alleging that he weaponized his influence by sharing her sister’s personal contact details online.
“Davido, I am calling you out. You have shared my sister’s information online and you are telling all your fans, followers, the stupid ones to cyberbully my sister because she is a lawyer that defended your baby mama in court,” the woman stated in the video.
She claimed that since the singer’s post, her sister has been inundated with “relentless phone calls” and “death threats” from aggressive fans.
The controversy stems from a recent court session regarding the custody of Davido and Sophia’s daughter, Imade.
Following the hearing, Davido took to social media to announce he was withdrawing his custody bid, alleging that Enedah, a partner at Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, had “low blow” by invoking the memory of his late son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in October 2022.
However, the lawyer’s sister disputed this version of events, arguing that Enedah was simply performing her professional duty by questioning Davido’s fitness as a parent—a standard legal inquiry in custody cases.
“You abused my sister in court just because she asked you a simple question. Prove to the court that you are a fit father, that is the only question you have to answer. But instead of you to answer, you have twisted it,” she said.
Highlighting her status as a U.S. citizen, a citizenship Davido also holds, the woman issued a stern warning to the singer, demanding he remove the posts containing her sister’s information and call off his fans.
“You can face my sister in Nigeria but be ready to face me in America… You need to stop harassing my sister, remove her number from your Twitter… and tell your fans to desist immediately from insulting my sister and calling her number, sending her death threats,” she added.
The incident has also drawn a reaction from Enedah’s law firm, Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, which has condemned the online harassment directed at its partner.
This development adds yet another volatile layer to the long-running dispute between Davido and Sophia Momodu, moving the conflict from the family court to the court of public opinion with potentially dangerous consequences.
