The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, alongside other top political allies, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a prospective second term in 2027, reaffirming support for his administration’s reform agenda.

The endorsement was formalised with the signing of nomination forms presented by James Faleke, a member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

Kalu, who played a prominent role in the endorsement, described the moment as both symbolic and significant, noting that it coincided with a personal milestone and served as a reaffirmation of his commitment to the president’s leadership.

He emphasised that the endorsement reflects growing confidence among key stakeholders in the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” which is focused on economic reforms, infrastructure development, and institutional strengthening.

The endorsement comes amid early political consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Tinubu’s allies increasingly mobilising support within party ranks and across strategic constituencies.

Political observers note that endorsements from influential figures such as Kalu, Faleke, and Tunji-Ojo could play a key role in consolidating internal backing for the president, even as formal campaign activities remain some distance away.

Although President Tinubu has not officially declared his intention for the 2027 race, the growing wave of endorsements signals strong backing from within his political base and underscores a push for continuity in governance.
