A woman claiming to be the former girlfriend of popular Nigerian hypeman and singer, Segun Johnson, has publicly detailed the bitter end of their 13-year relationship, accusing the entertainer of betrayal and manipulation.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the unidentified lady narrated how their long-term relationship had its share of “ups and downs” before the pair eventually reconciled while she was living in the United Kingdom.
According to her account, Johnson persistently convinced her to move back to Nigeria, promising to support her and remain by her side.
Believing the request was a sign of long-term commitment, the woman explained her thought process but despite her initial reservations, she eventually yielded to his pressure.
“I thought him telling me to come back home meant he wanted to settle down with me.I was not ready to come back. I wanted to save more money. I didn’t want to depend on anybody,” she confessed in the video.
The woman ultimately abandoned the life and recent job she had secured in the UK, relocating to Lagos to live with the singer. However, she alleges that the situation quickly deteriorated shortly after she moved into his home.
According to the woman, Johnson traveled to the UK and returned with a money-counting machine, which immediately sparked her suspicion. Taking matters into her own hands, she checked his phone.
“I saw that it was a lady that gave him the machine. He has been with this lady since last year,” she revealed.
The woman claimed that when she confronted Johnson with her discovery, he was unable to provide a clear or satisfactory explanation.
The confrontation ultimately culminated in him sending her a brief voice note simply stating, “Now is the time,” abruptly terminating their 13-year romance.
The heartbroken lady described the ordeal as a cruel display of “deceit and betrayal,” expressing her devastation at being persuaded to abandon her life in the UK only to be abruptly dumped shortly after returning to Lagos.
As of the time of this report, Segun Johnson has not publicly responded to the allegations.
