The future of Portuguese professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus remains in doubt with four weeks to this summer transfer window.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the 36-year-old Portugal national team’s captain wants out of the Seria A club.

Recently, Ronaldo was linked with a transfer move to English Premier League club, Manchester City. City boss, Pep Guardiola has spoken positively about having a player like the five-time Ballon d’Or winner play on his team.

The UK Mirror reports that City could spend fortunes to bring Ronaldo to Etihad Stadium this summer. Naija News understands that Ronaldo has one year left on his current contract with Juventus.

The forward though is said to have returned to Juventus training ground, Continassa, one week ago. His future at the club, however, remained in doubt. The newspaper reports that the EURO 2020 Golden Boot winner does not want to remain at the Old Lady, but that he could struggle to find a possible suitor.

The report claims that his agent Jorge Mendes is working to secure a move to Paris Saint-Germain for Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also named as a possible next club for Ronaldo, but Los Blancos are more interested in securing the services of PSG striker Kylian Mbappe – a move that could open the door for Ronaldo to switch to Paris.

However, if the move fails to materialise this summer, the newspaper reports that the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner will continue to work in the most professional way and stay to do a job at Juventus.
