Kolawole Ajeyemi, the husband of Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham, has publicly shown his support for his wife following a tense and highly publicized encounter with her colleague, Funke Akindele.

During the star-studded event, Abraham was captured on video approaching Akindele to exchange pleasantries.
However, Akindele reportedly ignored the gesture completely, keeping her gaze fixed elsewhere. Following the snub, Abraham turned to greet Ojo before walking away from the table.
The viral video quickly drew a massive wave of criticism online, with much of the backlash coming from Abraham’s loyal supporters. Many fans accused Akindele of being openly disrespectful toward her colleague.
“Some social media users described Akindele’s behaviour as childish. Others suggested Abraham should have refrained from offering a greeting if the two were not on good terms,” the publication stated.
As the debate continued to rage online, another group of commentators voiced strong support for Abraham, praising the actress as “bold and fearless” in her handling of the uncomfortable situation.
Amid the ongoing backlash, one Instagram user encouraged the actress to remain strong and lean on her family’s support.
“I advocate for peace a lot, but at this point, I am done,” the user wrote. “Oluwatoyin, you are loved at home. Nothing do you, omomi,” the supporter added.
Ajeyemi officially entered the conversation by reacting to the drama. He posted a simple love emoji beneath one of the online posts supporting Abraham, making a subtle but pointed gesture of solidarity with his wife.
In response to his public show of support, several of Abraham’s followers replied to Ajeyemi’s comment, urging him to advise his wife against making any official public statements regarding the matter.
Other fans suggested that he should encourage her to avoid attending future events where Akindele is present.
