A woman identified as Osarobo Osarenoma Odigie has issued a legal demand of N395 million against popular TikTok creator Peller, accusing him of defamation, cyber harassment, and invasion of privacy following an altercation at a lounge in Lagos.
The incident in question occurred on January 6, 2026, at Folixxx Lounge, situated along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
A dispute reportedly started when Odigie told Peller he was being too loud while she was at the counter area trying to buy food.
In response, the content creator filmed a video of her and labelled her a “hater” before posting the clip online to his massive audience.
In a cease-and-desist letter dated March 10, Odigie’s legal representatives claimed that Peller’s actions exposed their client to public ridicule, explicit threats, and severe emotional distress.
They argued that the virality of the video, which was widely shared by bloggers and other social media platforms, amplified the harassment and triggered genuine fears for her safety.
“The result of your actions, in particular, the untrue and defamatory statements as well as breach of her privacy and right to be forgotten, has since led to our client being exposed to public ridicule both online and offline,” the letter stated.
It further highlighted that Odigie has been unjustly subjected to cyberbullying motivated by the creator’s disparaging remarks.
Odigie is demanding that Peller immediately remove the offending video from his Snapchat, WhatsApp, and all other social media channels.
She also instructed him to compel all third-party blogs that reposted the video to take it down within seven days.
Furthermore, the creator has been asked to issue a clear, public apology across his platforms and publish formal retractions in two national daily newspapers, specifically The Punch and The Guardian.
The N395 million financial demand is broken down into specific damages. Odigie is seeking N200 million as compensation for the defamatory publications, N100 million for severe emotional distress and reputational harm, and N75 million for the harassment instigated by his followers. An additional N20 million has been demanded to cover the legal fees of her solicitors, FA Garrick & Co.
The legal letter concluded with a stern warning that failure to meet all demands within seven days will result in the immediate initiation of formal legal proceedings. Peller has yet to publicly respond to the allegations or the financial demands.
