Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has revealed that misunderstandings with his wife, Chioma, negatively affect his career and business. The singer made the revelation during a recent interview on the Breakfast Club, attributing much of his success in the music industry to her.

“My wife has always had this thing over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business,” Davido said.

He added humorously, “If I’m fighting her, she’ll say, ‘You are fighting me? Sebi your album is coming, you want to fight me right?’ And I’ll start begging her. She has that grace.”

Speaking further, Davido opened up about Chioma’s bond with his children from other women, noting that all his kids love her deeply.

“My kids love my wife, especially my daughter. There was a time when I was scared to bring my kids around her, but there has been some growth,” he said.

The award-winning artist shared that he and Chioma had been together for 11 years before tying the knot in June 2024.

“We met in school when I was 18, and she was 17,” Davido added.

Davido, who has children with three different women, officially married Chioma, his longtime partner, in a private ceremony last year.
