Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has opened up about the key to his sustained success in the music industry.

The Limpopo hitmaker, speaking on the Selah Meditate podcast, revealed that his approach differs from some colleagues who become discouraged when they struggle to produce chart-topping songs. Instead of slowing down, Kcee explained that he doubles his efforts by releasing more music, increasing the likelihood of landing a hit.

“Whenever I’m struggling with a song, I don’t stop; I release more songs. The more you put out, the higher the chance one will hit,” he said, emphasizing consistency and hard work as essential to a lasting music career.

Kcee’s strategy reflects a growing trend among Nigerian artists, who often release multiple singles and collaborations to maintain relevance and increase the odds of producing viral hits.

By sharing his approach, Kcee hopes to inspire upcoming artists to stay proactive, experiment, and keep producing music, rather than waiting for inspiration or success to come on its own.
