Nigerian rap icon Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide or Baddo, has revealed that he no longer eats Amala and other heavy traditional meals, opting instead for lighter, healthier foods.

Speaking in a candid interview with YouTuber Korty EO, released on Sunday, August 3, the YBNL boss explained that while he used to enjoy meals like Amala, he has since changed his diet to avoid feeling sluggish and overly full.

“I’m not a big fan of food,” Olamide said. “I eat veggies. But I can kill for broccoli.”

The “Metaverse” hitmaker shared that his current favorites include sea bass, lamb chops, caviar, and vegetables — all meals that help him feel light and more energized. He added that his shift in diet is part of a broader lifestyle change aimed at staying more active and focused.

Despite his legendary street music roots, Olamide’s food choices now reflect a more health-conscious and refined taste.
