A member of the Anambra state house of assembly, Chief Pete Ibida, says the sterling leadership skills of Anambra Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, is a legacy on itself that will outlive him after March 17.
Ibida, lawmaker representing Njikoka 2 Constituency in the Anambra House of Assembly, said Obiano would remain humbled in his line of leadership.
He said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka, on Monday, “I am grateful to be a member of ruling APGA, because the party offered me the chance to meet a leader like Obiano who does not count his gains or losses in serving humanity.
“Obiano has institutionalised APGA in Anambra with the lasting projects and good governance offered in the state, ideas of the party would be sustained in his memory,” he said.
Ibida, who is also the house Chief Whip, disclosed his intention to run for Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.
“I feel I have done well in the state legislature and I desire to go to the centre to bring to bear the skills I have garnered over the years as a state law maker.
He disclosed that he is on a consultation tour in respect of his desire to run for Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.
He said his performance speaks volumes in the state house of assembly where he did numerous constituency projects in the three communities that make up his Constituency.

“My aspiration is based on the fact that I can give the Federal Constituency effective representation as I am well exposed in legislative matters.
Ibida said that he has embarked on consultation meeting with APGA executives from the various political wards within the council area to seek their support.
“This is part of the humility skills Obiano displayed all through his leadership. He seeks opinion from young, old, rich, poor, skilled and unskilled,” he said.
