The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has charged the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) boss, Alhaji Murtala Muhammad, to scale up his performance.
The House equally advised him to buckle up or immediately tender his resignation letter to Gov. Abdullahi Sule, flaying his incompetency.
The Chairman., House Committee on Planning, Budget and SDGs, Mr Mohammed Muluku, gave the advice when the SSA on SDGs appeared before the committee on its 2021 budget assessment in Lafia on Wednesday.
Muluku, the most ranking member in the state assembly, who frowned at the poor performance of the SDGs office, said that if something was not done urgently to reposition the agency, its goals would be defeated.
He emphasised that during the last administration in the state, SDGs was one of the most outstanding life touching agencies that impacted positively on the lives of rural dwellers in the state, adaeventsnews gathered.
The chairman wondered why the setback during the present adminstration that is working hard to change the fortune of the people of the state.

“I am highly disappointed with the performance of SDGs. I am wondering what the problem is that SDGs of all agencies will perform just 10 per cent of its total budget and this all bounce back to the head of the agency,” he said.
The chairman, while rating SDGs office as the worst performing government agency in the state, assured of the committee’s readiness to collaborate with the government for effective service delivery.
The SSA on SDGs had earlier analysed the budget performance between January and August 2021, which stands at 10 per cent.
