El-Kanemi Warriors have completed the signing of midfielder Joseph Timi to strengthen their squad ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Borno-based club confirmed that Timi joined from Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit Crown FC, with the deal running until the end of the 2025–26 NPFL season.
Timi, known for his energy and creativity in midfield, is expected to add depth and balance to Kabiru Dogo’s side as the team intensifies its push in the league. Club officials described the acquisition as part of efforts to reinforce key areas ahead of crucial fixtures in the second half of the campaign.

The move marks a significant milestone in Timi’s career, providing him the opportunity to prove himself at the top-flight level after impressive performances in the NNL. Sources close to the club say the midfielder has already begun training with his new teammates.
